Satzvey Burg, Germany
Do not say it too loudly, this fairytale castle is in four steps from Bonn and Cologne, but remains outside the radar of many travelers. The medieval walls, moats and its characteristic position will blow even the most jaded visitor and, depending on the time, you may find witches, camel rides or even a little 'disoriented. With winter coming, then, even those who do not go crazy for the Christmas markets will be overwhelmed by a wave of joy, when the area around the castle is transformed into a medieval market with costumed parades, shops that sell trinkets and Gothic, in the background, the sound of metal cups for mulled wine.

Battle, England
Perhaps the Battle of Hastings is known as the bloody conflict of 1066 that inspired the Bayeux Tapestry, but few take the trouble to visit the site where this historic event took place. Take the opportunity for a stroll in the beautiful Sussex countryside: the spectacular white cliffs of Beachy Head are one of the most beautiful sights of England and is located less than an hour's drive from Battle.

Amiens, France
With twice as large as a cathedral of Notre Dame in Paris, is a real sacrilege that this city is rarely visited. The Cathedral of Amiens, in fact, a masterpiece of engineering, you will blow your mind for its richly carved stone facade and some of the sculptures that decorate bloody (the severed head of John the Baptist is a recurring theme). The local specialty, the macarons d'Amiens, the artisan bakery for five generations remains unchanged is the simple recipe made with honey, almonds, sugar and white egg. These delicious pies are even good when accompanied by a cup of chocolat chaud dense.

Haarlem, Netherlands
Sure, it's hard to get away from numerous entertainment offering Amsterdam, but visitors will be directed to Haarlem amply rewarded. Here, the seventeenth-century Dutch master Frans Hals painted some of his finest works: you can admire its luminous oil paintings in the museum that bears his name. And in the church of St Bavo Grote Kerk van, looking up, you'll see the body that knew the touch of the hands of the young Mozart. After a pancake and a tour in the bustling Grote Markt and very pretty, you're definitely happy with your trip.

Although one of the smaller nations of Europe, it is strange that a principal is a wonderful little celebration. Rarely included among the places to visit at least once in their lifetime, Luxembourg offers fascinating contrasts, a cultured and polyglot population and some of the finest works of modern art in the area. Sure, Luxembourg is known as a paradise for shoppers, but its capital is not just the banks and men in suits. La Coruna, Spain
The final stage of the famous pilgrimage to Santiago de Compostela in the picturesque north-west of Spain is especially popular with travelers. But less than 45 minutes to drive there is La Coruña, a city generally ignored that has an incredible, enviable beaches and a pulsating nightlife. In María Pita Square you will find a statue with a spear, erected in memory of the heroine who defended the old town, and you can admire the magnificent façade of the Palacio Municipal and the double-tower of the nearby Iglesia de San Jorge. Do not miss the opportunity to visit the Tower of Hercules, a lighthouse of Roman origin, whose summit offers a splendid view, and for people watching along the Passeo Maritimo. At sunset, taste some tapas in the area Panaderas - if, however, you really are going to the wee hours, join revelers on the beach at Santa Cristina Oleiros.

Olomouc, Czech Republic
Laugh up their sleeves, enjoying a potato pancake with confidence, while the other passengers jostle visitatissimo on Charles Bridge in Prague: you can afford it because you're in Olomouc, the Czech Republic's most beautiful city that offers all the architectural beauties of the capital with the advantage of being much less chaotic. Olomouc also hides a few tricks up its sleeve: to discover someone, turn your gaze to the astronomical clock in the communist style to Horni Namesti, glorious walks in the cloisters of the twelfth century and make the full energy in a restaurant with a friendly as U Anděla.

Klaipeda, Lithuania
Bustling port city with a waterfront dotted with German-style taverns, Klaipėda could really be the happiest places in Europe. Book a table Mamelis to taste the rich dishes of cheese, olives and sausage, accompanied by a wide variety of beers. After touring the cellars of the city, you're in the right place to explore the unspoilt beach of Curonian Spit, overlooking the Baltic Sea. Take, then, a little 'relaxation area with a trip to explore the forests, seafood and local folklore.

Tartu, Estonia
Travelers who choose this beautiful Baltic country as a destination usually visit the fairytale Tallinn or relax in the spa on the islands, but the lively university town of Tartu is unmissable. Immerse yourself in its centuries-old history student with a visit to the Student's Cell, where students were kept in isolation negligent, and stroll in the park Toomemägi (full of trails that wind through the woods). Eating in the center does not cost a fortune: Do not hesitate, therefore, to enter one of the cafes near the university.

Łańcut, Poland
Castles in Poland is certainly no shortage, but to Łańcut is an absolute delight. The details of this huge aristocratic residence are striking: a tour of the building will lead to elegant ballrooms decorated with chandeliers bigger than you!  The town also boasts a rich Jewish past and this is worth exploring the Łańcut Synagogue: his modest appearance conceals, in fact, a baroque masterpiece, including marvelous columns and colorful frescoes.
